The Online Personal Trainer Course by AFA includes a Certificate III in Fitness and a Certificate IV in Fitness.
This is yet another course with minimal entry requirements that gives you all the qualifications and training you need to become a personal trainer or gym instructor. To complete both the Cert III and Cert IV courses, you will need to undergo work training at an approved fitness centre.
The First Aid unit is not included in the course if you opt for the online option. But you can complete this unit at their campus (Victoria, Melbourne) or with another provider.
You’ll be given up to 12 months to complete your Cert III and another 12 months to finish your Cert IV. If you choose to complete this program online, all learning will be entirely self-managed and done at your own pace and schedule. Since the program is delivered this way, you can choose to take it part-time or full-time.
The Practical Placement component of the Certificate III & IV in Fitness provides a great opportunity to put the knowledge and skills learnt throughout the course into practice, helping you gain valuable experience in a real-life industry setting.
We find that many of our students go on to find employment in the fitness centres where they complete placement or through the connections they make throughout their work experience.
The Work Experience requirements are:
You can perform your placement at an approved fitness centre or Personal Training Studio of your choice under the supervision of a qualified Personal Trainer. Should you have any difficulties securing placement, AFA can utilise our industry partnerships to assist you to find a suitable facility and mentor.
