The Master Trainer Program™ assesses on six extra criteria which, when achieved, will elevate you from a standard Trainer to an AIF Certified Master Trainer Level 1, equipping you with the latest skills, knowledge and know-how you’ll need to kick start your successful career in the fitness industry.
Delivered through a streamlined, fun and effective learning experience, this program covers all the fitness fundamentals plus much more, including anatomy, physiology, how to prescribe exercise as well as training principles and solutions for a range of groups and special populations such as adults, adolescents, older adults, amateur athletes and people with body composition and endurance based goals.
Business will also be a key focus where you will learn how to setup and prepare for your own small business and learn basic sales and marketing skills necessary to acquire clients. Keeping up with the latest industry trends, you will learn how to utilise a range of technological tools to enhance your fitness business, such as range of wearable technology. Plus; you will have the opportunity to attend FREE industry skills workshops, learning the latest cutting edge equipment solutions in addition to our famous Fitness Industry Recruitment Expos (F.I.R.E).
With obesity and other diseases linked to inactivity on the rise in Australia, the importance of fitness education and services are more essential than ever.
At the AIF, it is our mission to train our students to be Warriors against SeDs (Sedentary Death Syndrome) to activate the nation to stay fit and healthy. With exercise now widely recognised as both a pre-habilitative solution and a rehabilitative solution for chronic lifestyle diseases, more doctors are prescribing exercise to their clients, increasing the demand for highly skilled PTs.
Personal training is no longer seen as a luxury service, and as the fitness industry continues to grow, so does the uptake of personal training services.
The program is delivered over 80 delivery sessions, including knowledge checks and assessment challenges.
Students must be over over 17 before they begin SIS40221 Certificate IV in Fitness. They must also have a computer and internet access, a passion for fitness, and meet the AIF’s acceptance criteria. This includes an eligibility interview and demonstrating satisfactory levels of language, literacy and numeracy.
Students must successfully complete the prerequisite units before commencing SIS40221 Certificate IV in Fitness.
